Reporter - (Ridgewood) - The Ridgewood News has an opening for a Reporter covering news in Ridgewood for both our print publications and our web site. Will write and develop news and feature stories. Must perform routine editorial tasks and share office duties, including posting breaking news to the web. Good oral and written communication skills, PC and social media familiarity, and the ability to deal with others are necessary. Newspaper layout skills preferred. A college degree and proven journalism experience are preferred. Must have transportation availability to cover assignments out of the office, as well as be accessible for assignments during and outside regular office hours such as municipal and Board of Education meetings.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
