Summary:
To assist the professional staff by participating in direct and indirect patient care to include performing EKGs, phlebotomy, and materials management and maintenance as directed by the professional staff and in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant and/or Patient Care Technician license/certification or enrolled in the second year of Nursing school with the Fundamentals of Nursing course passed and completed.
BLS certified through American Heart Association.
Training:
Full Month of Day Training Required for this position.
Experience:
No previous experience required.

Must be able to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods, handle frequent interruptions, and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
Ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare delivery team, staff, and co-workers.
Ability to set priorities, solve problems, and respond quickly to emergency requests.
Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) and assist in meeting the patient care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
